Raising Readers is a registered charity (BN 84577 0122 RR0001).   Along with membership fees, your donations help us to provide quality programs, including instruction, books, and materials.

All donations are tax deductible and are issued with an official tax receipt.

We thank you for your contributions, without them we couldn’t carry out our mission, which is to support literacy and enhance learning skills in early childhood.

Scholarships

Raising Readers is honored to offer a scholarship fund, a legacy to our late friend and supporter, Kate Sigurdson. 

The Kate Sigurdson Fund, has been established with donations made in memory of Kate by her family and friends.  This fund allows for low-income families in the community to participate in the Raising Readers programs without fees.

If you know a child who would like to attend our programs, and may be eligible for our scholarship fund, please contact us for an application.

Raising Readers believes that all children should have an opportunity to become a reader, and Kate’s legacy helps us greatly in that mission.

Raising Readers is happy to offer volunteer positions to applicable candidates.  If you would like to contribute your time to our program, please send us an email and tell us about yourself.  We will be very happy to hear from you.
