Our Books
| |
It is our aim at Raising Readers to present quality children’s literature. We believe good books are those that are original, provoke imagination, bring delight, and that a story comes to life through the use of inspired language and unique characters.

As children’s book expert, Dorothy Butler, describes:
| |
| |
“If books are good books, they engender true thought and feeling and so allow children to think clearly, to feel deeply.”

Quality illustrations are also a vital aspect to the experience of a good book. Picture books are most likely the first introduction your child will have to art and it is therefore important that they are given many fine examples of line, color, texture, and style.

We are committed to presenting literature that provides books and stories to children that are anti-bias; have a shared profile of both male and female characters; and are representative of cultural diversity. |
