Raising Readers was initiated to nurture and spark the magic of stories and reading for children.
We are a non-profit organization and a registered charity supporting literacy in early childhood.
Rather than being a program to teach children to read, the goal of Raising Readers is to share an enthusiasm for stories, books, and poems. A child does not need to know how to read to join.
Each book-club includes story-telling, book presentation, and an opportunity for children to respond to stories with art, writing, drama and discussion.
